About

I have been sewing and creating for most of my life starting first on a farm in South Australia, moving to a farm in Naracoorte, then a short time in Adelaide and now am enjoying the peaceful surrounds of Maiden Gully at the edge of Bendigo. I have my own studio to sew in plus a wonderful shed to store my precious fabrics in.

After owning two patchwork shops in Naracoorte and Adelaide., I do have need for storage !

My need to sew and create beautiful items in Liberty goes back nearly 40 years, when my mother would smock and I would make beautiful dresses for my daughter.  I still have the fabric scraps from that time, and  also the smocked blouses that my mother made for me.

The photo shows the fabric that was released for Australia’s Bicentennial in 1988.

The second photo is of some of my own collection..very much archive.

So sewing Liberty now is just as special. The fabric is so beautiful: the colours and the fine weave and the finish make it a total joy to work with.
